The Republic of Ireland is connected to both Great Britain and the European mainland using a variety of ferry companies.
Most popular routes from Britain are from Holyhead and Fishguard in Wales serving Dublin and Rosslare respectively with StenaLine Ferries. For Scottish travellers, StenaLine Ferries have a service between Cairnryan and Belfast. Additionally, Irish Ferries also offer services from Holyhead and Pembroke in Wales.
From mainland Europe, Stena offer services in northern France from Cherbourg to Rosslare, with Irish Ferries services from Cherbourg in France to Dublin. Brittany Ferries have routes to Cork from Roscoff in France and Santander in Spain.

Dublin Airport is well served with flights from many British and European cities with lesser connections from the closer Cork Airport and Kerry Airports. Most popular airlines are Aer Lingus and Ryanair but check sites such as www.skyscanner.com for a full list.

Driving in Ireland is on the left hand side. Road signs are in km. The speed limit is 50km/h in built-up areas, 80km/h on regional and local roads, 100km/h on national roads and 120km/h on motorways.
Millstreet is situated nearly 300km from Dublin Port and 250km from Rosslare Port. Travelling from Dublin will involve motorway tolls on the Dublin Port Tunnel(Goods vehicles exceeding 3,500 kilograms weight are exempt), M50 (Barrier free – Pay by 8pm the following night or prepay) and M7(cash) . The M50 toll can be paid online at www.eflow.ie or over the telephone with a credit or laser card. From Dublin, N7(M7) then M8 (J12) to Mitchelstown, N73 to Mallow, N72 and R783 to Millstreet.
